We are committed to handling information transparently and responsibly. Different services may collect different types of information, including through systems, service providers, and third-party technologies that help us operate, secure, measure, improve, and develop the services.

  • BuildTech Construction Platform: Professional contact information, project and report data, and document uploads provided by users.

How We Use Information

We may use collected information for the following purposes, as needed and in accordance with applicable law: providing, operating, maintaining, and improving our services; authenticating users and managing access control; processing transactions and managing accounts; monitoring system security and preventing unauthorized access; generating analytics, metrics, and operational or business insights; measuring performance and improving user experience; tailoring services, content, or offers to customer and user needs; communicating service updates, important notices, and permitted business or marketing communications; developing new services; protecting our rights and legitimate interests; and complying with legal obligations and regulatory requirements.

For EnterCom specifically, activity data and access logs may be shared with your Facility Owner (building management) as part of the building security and management services they have contracted with Tech-UA.

We may share or disclose information, including limited personal information, when required or permitted by law and when necessary or useful for the operation, security, maintenance, analysis, improvement, marketing, support, or business management of our services. Such sharing may include, among other things: (a) with authorities, courts, or authorized parties when required by law, regulation, or legal process; (b) with your Facility Owner or building management for legitimate security, access control, and property management purposes; (c) with service providers, subcontractors, business partners, and technology providers that help us with operations, hosting, payments, security, measurement, analytics, performance, support, communications, advertising, marketing, or other business needs; (d) when you have given consent or when sharing results from your settings or use of the service; (e) to protect the rights, property, safety, and legitimate interests of Tech-UA, our users, our customers, or the public; (f) in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, investment, transfer of business, or sale of assets. In some cases, disclosing information to service providers or partners for analytics, advertising, performance, or other business needs may be considered a 'sale' or 'sharing' of information under certain privacy laws, even where there is no sale for money.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including: encryption of data in transit and at rest; secure authentication protocols; role-based access controls; regular security audits and vulnerability assessments; secure data storage in controlled facilities; and employee training on data protection practices.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will act to address security incidents in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the matter.

Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably required for the purposes described in this policy, to provide the services, manage our business, support security, provide support, conduct audits, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, protect our rights, or comply with legal requirements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the service, relevant agreements, and applicable law.

Active account data may be retained while the account or service is active and for a reasonable period thereafter based on business, operational, or legal needs. Activity and access logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security, audit, fraud prevention, support, legal, or business needs, and generally no longer than 3 years unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Biometric data, where collected, will be deleted upon request or withdrawal of consent, unless retention is required or permitted by law or needed for security, dispute, or compliance purposes. Transaction, tax, accounting, security, and compliance records may be retained for the period required or permitted by applicable law, which may be up to 7 years or longer where there is a legal obligation or legitimate need. Upon account deletion or service termination, we will act to delete, anonymize, or restrict use of information in accordance with applicable law, our data retention policy, and legitimate business needs.
